Pieces

Happy Sunday guys!

Since this is the base site for my trilogy, I guess I better post something about it. ^o^

Like's Chris's book, my book is also based off real life events, but not just mine but my friends as well. Thing is not everything that happened in the book is real as it is based on during the time of the 2012, but most of the book is made after the overall experiences of my closest friends and I.

Pieces is the story of Rey Ivory, a 17-year old junior in high-school, who has just moved to the town of Moreview, Ohio. Rey has moved his entire high school career and a good part of his middle school career, so in order to make friends he developed a talent to be able to read people's emotions and guess their thoughts, making him a natural at fixing any emotional problems. He only created the opposite scenario however, for everyone only outcasted him as freak. He then vowed to never reveal his talents to anyone, and never to call anyone a friend again, as he has no one he can trust.
He moves on through life ignoring emotions, looking for a reason to live, but in Moreview he discovers nine others who each have an problem of their own, and they all find comfort in one another, and despite constant denial, Rey began to finally reopen to this group. When the old field commander of Moreview's band Becca returns to find the chemistry, she asks Rey to dig and find the missing "piece" to each one of their lives. Rey is eventually convinced by his crush Harper, and by helping his new "acquaintences", slowly discovers the missing piece in himself.

But just as things seemed to being well, Azazel and Rey discover that their fathers have recieved a notice to reenter the marines in preparation a huge war that will begin on..... December 21st, 2012.

I'm still revising this book, but the overall story and pot is done and hopfullty will be released by the end of this year. The book is told from five different characters point of view. Hopfully you guys will like it. :) I'm going to go work on revising the book, so I'll see you guys later.

If you would like to post your story, then contact me or Chris and we will get in up there quickly.

Quinton

Saying Hello

Hello guys! Quinton here, and happy April 25th!

I'll be the second blogger along with my friend Chris. I'm currently writing Pieces, the first book in my Rey Saga trilogy. I came up with this idea a few weeks ago while working on my website and surfing facebook. There, a friend tld me that Chris and I should start a blog for young writers like us and have them talk about their stories and make a interlinkable site for them. A lot like a club for aspiring authors. After about a week of thinking, I started to make this blog, and then bought it up to Chris, who loved the idea, and here we are. On this blog I will release information on my book, Chris on his book, Bleeding Truth, as we tell our life stories through these books and bring in other authors to talk about their works and experiences. As Chris said in the first post, we highly appreciate any advice that anyone may have to give. Also, to any young authors, feel free to contact us if you would like us to post information on your books or give information on your life story.

Bleeding Truth

Happy April 24 everyone! :D

If you don't know why it's important, don't worry because I don't either lol ;)

Okay, so to get this blog going I think I'll start by telling you a little bit about my book in progress. As you can see by the title of this post, the tentative title of the book is Bleeding Truth and, in short, its a story based entirely upon my real life experiences. Not an original concept, but I definitely make it work ^_^

The story focuses mainly on an eighteen year-old boy named Alexander Azazel Arlington (A mouthful, huh?). In the beginning of the book he is waiting in a forest clearing at midnight, a place where he and his girlfriend, Victorya, agreed to meet. After waiting for so long, he becomes impatient and is about to leave when the story's second main character, Audrey, shows up and the shit hits the fan. Her presence starts a chain reaction which leads Alex to a startling realization about his girlfriend, followed by the two strangers running for their lives, and Alex's eventual death, all in the first chapter.
As the story progresses, Alex begins to realize the reason behind his and Audrey's bonded fate. Although the main storyline is a slowly unraveling mystery, everything surrounding it acts like an epiphany that slowly creeps into the mind of Alex and the reader simultaneously, while revealing the specific feelings of love, hate, and loneliness.

I am very happy to place my name upon this novella (only 170 pages long so far), and I am endlessly working on it. Although I don't have any online sources to tell you more about the story or the inspiration behind it, I will post more content in the future. Until then, I think I might go back to writing my 3rd draft :)

P.S. Feel free to contact Quinton or myself to suggest future posts.

~Alex

Hey there happy people :D

Starting as a good idea of my good friend Quinton, he and I have created this blog to talk about writing and our lives, upon other things. We are planning on including material about our upcoming books (Pieces, Quinton's book, and Bleeding Truth, my own work in progress), any advice anyone has about anything, and anything you, the reader, would like to read about. So feel free to help us out by giving us suggestions of what you'd like to see us post. Until then, check out this link to the Pieces website, where you can its first three chapters far before its release later this year
[http://sites.google.com/site/thereysaga/home-1]. And, remember, to always think happy thoughts...
