A Thousand Words

An inspiration from a time of love at first sight, Christmas wishes blossomed in the air that day so did one of mine.   It's been so long since I have looked back and  to say my heart has never felt the same since that day. Now we finally met again.

"Where is the love?" by julkusiowa

“I miss You”
Remember that day we met? That day when our eyes met, and shared more than words could describe , at the Christmas party in December of ‘07.
I was sitting with on the floor talking and laughing to one of my old friends. Holding a Christmas gift that seemed to hold magic that day. I looked up to the ramp that led to the living room, was you coming down closer to me. The disbelief in my eyes when being drawn to you grew stronger and stronger.
In my heart, I needed you in my life, or loose myself in sorrow and pain. I just felt I need you to look in my eyes to notice I was there.
Getting the attention your hungered my heart. I followed you as if I knew you for a thousand years. Then you met my eyes; our hearts became inseparable.
Now, looking back, my love for you has gotten stronger. Each day you’re here with me, even though distance is a barrier.
“Distance”, who knew it would mean so little for love in someone’s heart.

Homeless but not heartless

Hey guys its Sabrina Black this weeks piece is inspired from whats going on in the world right now. The two main topics that have been popular is bulling and the economy plummeting. This is a story of a blind man who is trying to survive in any way he can. He gets bullied everyday but that doesn't stop him from believing the second chance he is hoping for. Life gets tough and hard but just know it will get better and the sun will come and give you another day to see.

“The Poor Man”

Smell the smog. Listen to the cars go by on a busy Monday morning. Feel the vibrations of footsteps walking past him. All he can see is shapes and shadows of unseen faces.

A man sits on a busy sidewalk, wearing nothing but rags, a ragged knit cap , and gloves missing fingers. A tin cup lies beside him, filled with the precious metals of a greedy man. This cup is his lifeline before being taken by death. Doesn’t anyone care for the poor man on the corner of main street?

A bakery across the street fills the air with childhood memories. The man can see them in his mind. He can see again. He’s with his family, laughing and joking. Then burning fire appears, and it grows dark. Now he fends for his life on the corner.

Every day he sits on that corner at quarter-past 7, patiently waiting for hope, the next meal, or to live a better life. People, with their money-making pride, look at the poor man in disgust. Men spit at him and carry on with their pride. Kids take his money and move it to a different spot. He’s confused and follows the sound of the coins while delinquents kick him, busting his ribs. How much pain can one tear hold?

He doesn’t give up. Every day he is there, waiting for his second chance. Is there no one who cares for him?

Suddenly, the patting of little feet approach the blind man. A boy delivers him a loaf of bread and says, “I brought this for you from the bakery I work at.”

The man can’t believe that such kindness can come from someone so small. He gladly accepts and asks, “Why do you show such kindness to me?”

The boy replies, “A little love can go a long way.”

Love is fragile

Hey guys I'm a new writer on the site. My writer name is Sabrina ; a fellow writer named Aulene told me about Life In Fiction, and I figured I'd give it a try. My story is in my writing, it tells how I think and feel about life, situations, and experiences that we sometimes overlook. I love to write (it's my passion to write what I feel inside). I hope you like my style of writing.
My inspiration for this piece comes from losing love for someone but realizing your friends love for you is more powerful than any kind of relationship.

"Love is fragile but friendship never cracks"

Love is fragile, but friendship never cracks in the foggy night. The tombstones glow in the night with their cold touch. Fear crawls on the bumps of my skin. A deep shiver within, but a tear I shed in sorrow.
My heart is a heavy stone weighing me down. In the darkness the shadows creep but a light, the way, the truth, and the life see me through. The feeling of dying has its ways of toying with one’s mind.
Love is something special, love is fragile, love manipulates with one’s mind. You lose people and make your heart stone. But somehow, someway, there is one that is with you.
The story leads to a little cancer girl; she lived her life to the fullest. She didn’t give up, but she was taken by it. When she died, her last words as she closed her eyes, she said, “Mommy I can see butterflies.”
That’s the way life is. Otherwise it has the same beginning but a different ending, unexpected and unplanned. It has its twists and turns. Don’t live with a sore broken heart. You are in trusting hands. Let them guide you through.
Love is fragile, but friendship never cracks.
