Sunshine South of the Border

Hello everyone, this is Alex Arlington here, covering for Anora who has left Monroeville currently for somewhere warmer and further south of the Canadian border. Don't worry though, you'll still get a nice chunk of writing directly from the poet herself.

This week, she shares with the world exactly how music affects her in a short poem with an appropriate name.

Music

The flowing music
the soothing sounds
the beauty of the words

The calming effect
the dancing tune
the rhythm of the beat

It’s not joy I feel,
not sadness or tears
It’s a sensation,
not a feeling—
an overall state of being
fleeting but true

it’s PEACE.

Did you like it?
Wait,
Don't tell me!
Rather, tell Ms. Anora Anakaya when she returns next week with her first post of 2011.
Be sure to not take that long to check back with Life In Fiction. No! Weekly posts from myself and the rest of the staff of writers are still close on the horizon. Every day brings something new, so stay tuned.

Provehito in altum

~Alex
